Június 18-án hozta nyilvánosságra a Vatikán a Pápa enciklikáját a környezetről (Laudato si'), amely arra mutat rá, hogy milyen komoly következményekkel számolhatunk akkor, ha a világ sűrgetően nem tesz lépéseket az éghajlatváltozással kapcsolatban.
